KS Series Extrusion Blow Molding Machines: Selection Guide

Explore the KS extrusion blow molding range and compare product requirements, tooling, output assumptions and auxiliary equipment before selecting a configuration.

READ THE ARTICLE

The KS extrusion blow molding range on the MINY website includes KS60D, KS75D, KS75F, KS70&IML, KS80D, KS80FD, KS85, KS90 and KS100. The model pages provide a starting point for reviewing the equipment against a particular container project.

Start with the planned product range

Share the drawings, container dimensions, intended material and target weight for the products you plan to manufacture. If several container sizes will share a machine, identify which size is expected to account for most production and which products represent the limits of the proposed range.

Use the product brief to discuss the proposed machine and mold arrangement. A model designation alone does not establish whether a configuration meets the requirements of every product in a family.

Compare the configuration and the tooling together

Review the specifications on each model page alongside the proposed mold drawing. Ask the supplier to confirm the tooling interface, available working space, proposed cavity arrangement and handling requirements for your actual container.

  • Check the dimensions and interfaces needed for the agreed tooling.
  • Record which equipment and options are included in the quotation.
  • Confirm how products will be removed, handled and collected.
  • Review any decoration or labeling requirement as part of the proposed configuration.

Agree on a meaningful production comparison

Ask for output expectations based on the specified container, material, tooling and acceptance criteria. Keep those assumptions with the comparison so that differences between proposals can be discussed directly.

Include production support equipment

Check the cooling, air supply, material handling and factory layout requirements before finalizing the machine selection. Allocate space for mold access, maintenance and the finished-product route.
